Over 90% of our engineering freshmen and sophomores told us that they decided to pursue engineering because they want to design and build new things, they like to take things apart and see how they work, and they want a fulfilling and rewarding career. Engineering was a good fit.

CSU’s engineering students are strong students who want to make meaningful contributions to engineering.

Large percentages of our students report that they want to help clean up and protect the environment. They report that they want to improve their understanding of other countries and cultures and they want to help others in difficulty. As freshmen and sophomores, 78.3% report that they are already focused on making meaningful contributions to science and engineering through their work and research.
