Dr. Stephens’s research encompasses atmospheric radiation, radiative transfer and remote sensing, climate change and climate modeling, atmospheric energetics and hydrology. He is principal investigator of CloudSat, an experimental satellite that will use radar to measure the vertical structure of clouds and cloud properties from space.
