Support Research
Whether you are an alum, friend, or from industry, you can make a difference in our classrooms and laboratories.
Sponsor research
The college regularly works with industry and government agencies on research projects. Last year, engineering faculty were awarded over $55 million in contracts and grants, and provided 73% of the college’s operating funds for salaries, equipment, and program expenses through their research.

Give of your time
There are many ways that an engineer can impact engineering students at Colorado State. One of the most important is involvement. Working professionals have hosted visit days for engineering students at their companies, spoken in our classes, volunteered as design project judges, and invested their time with our student organizations. Contact the appropriate engineering department or program to make a connection with our students or student organizations.
The Professional Learning Institute (PLI) is a program that provides students with real world skills and experience to complement the technical curricula they receive at Colorado State. The PLI helps students achieve their employment goals by complimenting their engineering classes with interactive workshops led by key industry leaders and faculty and staff in five focus areas: Global Culture and Diversity, Leadership, Civic and Public Engagement, Innovation, and Ethics.
